Hank Lane Band

Has anyone booked or know someone who booked Hank Lane band Rythmn Knights? Any feed back on any Hank Lane band would be great! Was anyone able to see them live before booking? Or are you trusting the cd they had?

I wish all bands showcased!!!

I have a friend that used a Hank Lane band last July. I'll start by saying that I have no idea which one it was. But I really wasn't all that impressed. I've heard much better bands at weddings, and the dance floor didn't seem as packed as it could've been. I LOVE to dance, and I barely got up from my seat the entire night As a matter of fact, when I got engaged, I was talking to my friend and made a point to ask her who her band was. I didn't tell her, but i wanted to know b/c I honestly didn't want to waste my time with them when I was going to showcases.

Again, that's just MY opinion, based on ONE night, and I don't even remember which band it was.

Just to add to your question, I would NEVER book a band based on a cd alone. Go to a showcase. You'll want to see how they interact with the crowd too, not just their singing ability.

I have booked Hank Lane, but Pete Saunders.

When I booked I was very clear about the kind of music I wanted at the wedding. I dont want anythig modern, top 40, or current. To ME 99% is junk and I dont want to hear it.

I want all 60's, 70's and 80's. So when I spoke to the people at Hank Lane they told me which band was right for me.

I really appreciate the words the last poster put. Its something to think about. I do feel confident that I have the right band for the right kind of music I want, and what I think my guests will enjoy. All my guests are 35 and up so will LOVE all the classic music.

So When looking at bands, really talk to the booker to find out what kind of music you want played. Hopefully they will be able to play you music at the meeting and you can make a good deciion from there.

I booked the band just from music at the meeting.

Thanks girls for your comments!! I am just so torn! I met with Faze 4 on Wednesday and the bands we liked (Sound image and Soul Play) do not showcase either so we watched them off of a DVD.

I met with Lori last night and I am very confident that she will pick the right one, I just kind of wish i could see them or hear if anyone had any experience -- GOOD OR BAD -- with Hank Lane. I think the music for the wedding is most important and i just want it to be right.

Anyone want to let me sneak into their wedding so I can sample their band!!!! UGH!

We booked Harry Tyler band at Hank Lane.
One of the PR directors there is FH's family friend, so we definitely trust her judgement .
I also about 2 years ago, before FH met me, he was at the wedding where one of Hank Lane's bands were playing. He said it was great.
I saw the video, noone left the dance floor the whole night .

I booked a Hank Lane Band- Steve Delisi Band. We met with Lori and watched the slide show and listened to the CD. We thought they sounded awesome and Lori also told us some stories about the weddings she had been at with him performing and about the audience feedback and they sounded like what we wanted. We also of course told her what we were looking for, and I have complete faith that they are going to be awesome!

Also, when I told my wedding coordinator at the Carlyle we booked them she raved about my particular band and she said they have had just about all Hank Lane Bands play there and she thinks they are all great. I also didnt know it at the time I booked but they are a preferred Vendor for my RH. Hope this helps!
