They were one of our last choices, it was between them and our band (John Malino). We were very happy with everything they offered, but in the end decided to go with Malino (mainly bc they run their own band) BUT we knew they were both great and we'd be happy either way. I heard nothing but raves about Hank Lane on the NYC Knot boards. A lot of girls over there use them and I've never heard a bad thing. You should post over there or do a search on that board (although it's so hard to search on the knot!)

They were one of our final choices for bands as well. They sounded really good on tape and I'm sure any band you book from them would be excellent.
I did have a few concerns about them, though-- first, they are very aggressive in 'selling' themselves-- my contact person there was constantly calling or emailing me-- very pushy! They also do not let you either see the band in person or watch a videotape of the band-- we just listened to a tape. Hank Lane has been around a long time and they have a good reputation, so I'm sure that if you use them, they will be great. But personally I felt more confident going with someon else who I was able to see perform and have live interaction with the band leader, among other things. Hope this helps!

I called HL and was nervous about the fact that they have so many bands, and you can't even see or meet with any of them. It seemed a little shady to me, and they were very pushy after the fact, and a littel rude. Then I went to a friends' wedding last month and saw an amazing band - Soul Revival. There girl singer is incredible and they are all young, fun guys, they really got the party going, even my friends' 92 year old grandma was dancin'![]()
