Hank Lane DJ prices? HELP! - update some posts definitely by suspicious parties, makes me wary!

Went to visit Hank Lane last night, and want to know what others were quoted. I specifically want to know about a DJ (no MC, lights, etc.) for just a 4 hour reception.

Also let me know if you got a DJ for the ceremony music and also CH background music...

thanks! I want to know why my quote seemed so high compared to other DJs and if other Hank Lane brides got better deals

I met with them too as both my sisters used their bands...I thought their price was high too -- much higher than other DJs. I think it was over 2K for ceremony, CH and reception. and just a dJ no MC.

Hi there! I am looking for information on Hank Lane 'Downtown Band'. I saw that you said that your ad that your sisters used the Hank Lane Band. I was curious to know if they booked the 'downtown band' and how they were?

Just met with hank lane as well. quoted us for a 4 hr reception $2500 for just the DJ (one person serving as both the MC and 'record spinner')

we liked their selection of musicians but felt this was very high for DJ. quoted $3000 for 3 musicians who would play at the ceremony, CH and part of the reception. any others get a lower quote from Hank Lane?

I also was quoted 2500 for 4 hr reception dj for a december wedding

Ha -- the above three posters probably aren't brides, seems so weird to me that my old post would be bumped up like this months later by three posters IN A ROW that all have just one post and no wedding location!

I didn't go with Hank Lane, BTW. After meeting with other DJs we realized that the Hank Lane price was really on the high end, especially for the low key event we are throwing.

No I'm really a bride-to-be! It hasn't been long since I joined and that was my first post. So yeah I think 2500 is definitely overpriced but we trust that they'd do a good job so we're most likely going to sign up with them.
