happier rsvp news

my parents have been updating me on RSVPs while I'm in chicago this week, and we got our 100th YES today!

... and... FH's ex from HS RSVP'd no! it's not a big deal since they weren't serious and dated about 8 years ago (plus she has a new bf and she is no threat) but secretly i'm glad she wont be there

also, all of today's YES rsvp's are from oot guests! (FH's mom's coworker and his wife, and one of FH's HS friends... who happens to be male and coming as a single, if you've been keeping up with my other post )

Oh I would be sooooo excited about that one! I personally wouldn't have invited any of FH's exes ... the last one he had tried to break us up after we were dating for a few months so it's a tricky subject with us. I am not inviting any exes and either is he.

FH and I met and started dating literally the first week of college, so any exes are from HS. Neither of us had been serious with anyone else (my longest relationship had been 3 months, his was 5 months, and we've been together almost 6 years now). nobody is a threat, and they all are still friends, but i've seen pictures and she's pretty and i'm glad shes not coming

That's funny about the no. Only 1 of FH's exes is invited and she was just a fling about 9 years ago. I am actually hoping she says yes b/c her daughter(FH's goddaughter) is the flowergirl.

he invited 2 of his old exes because they dated for ~2-3 months in high school and have remained friends through the years since they are in his circle of friends. my group of hs friends was also pretty incestuous but i havent really kept in touch with the guys so i didn't invite them.

if these were serious girlfriends they wouldn't have been invited, but given the situation i let FH invite them. however, i'm still a little glad she wont be there
