On MSN.com there's a beautiful photo of potato latkes and some ideas for Jewish recipes in case anyone is interested!!

Happy Hanukah! Here's one lit candle:

i loove latkes!!! i wish i knew how to make them!

4-5 potatoes, peeled, grated, and strained
2 eggs
3 tsb flour
1-2 teaspoons lemon juice
5 scallions, finely chopped
salt, pepper, paprika to taste

Combine grated potatoes, scallions, lemon juice in a bowl. Beat eggs and stir the mixture. Slowly add flour and seasonings and mix.

Fry spoonfuls of the potato mixture in hot oil. Serve hot with appleasauce. (and if you fry them in olive oil, you can rationalize eating them by reminding yourself that it's 'good' fat. Lol)

HAPPY 1ST NIGHT OF CHANUKAH!!
