Harbor Links Brides???? I have serious doubts now. Help!

I am having serious doubts about this place. It looks beautiful, but they seem very inflexible for a newish place. I asked them if I were to have a wedding there and there were no other events that day, could I change the time by an hour or so. They said no because they book a lot of things last minute. For premium alcohol you have to pay more. It just seems tit for tat. I mean, we are not poor and can pay for these things but it makes me worry. What else am I missing? The girl I have been dealing with is Jeanine. I know there is another girl Laura. Does anyone know either person, if they are both good to work with, etc? And if so, when you sign, lets say I want someone else, ie: Laura to run my wedding, how do I tell the other one who I have been talking to. Maybe I am overthinking things. Any advice? I really get the feeling from Jeanine that she is inflexible. Although very nice and personable. Help?

If you are having doubts don't book it.

I looked there, wasn't so impressed with what they had to offer..Bridal suite was also their office, etc.

Did you check out the Royalton, not too far from there. They told me they were there competition and I think the Royalton offered me so much more.

If you have questions FM me.

FH and I loved their website but when I went I was very disappointed.I agree the tit for tat was ridiculous!!! We have money to spend too but it seemed a bit out of hand. I know they mentioned to me construction throughout 2009 we also made me wary. i agree they should be more flexible. Good Luck to you. The Royalton is Beautiful - a good fiend of mine was married there. We had a GREAT time!!! Have you checked the North Ritz Club? Worth a look. I booked there and had literally no intentions of even looking there. I was in the area and just decided to stop in - took me way off guard. the website isnt updated yet with a lot of their renovations - should take a personal onsite look.

Go with your gut!! If you have the slightest doubt, I'd say skip it. There are plenty of other RH out there. Like the PP said, have you checked the North Ritz Club?? It's definitely worth a shot - I fell in love with it! Good Luck!!

Thank you girls so much for your advice. I must say everybody seems so supportive. I am going to look into these other venues. North Ritz club is beautiful, as is the Royalton. I appreciate the suggestions because I think I am really stressing myself out, for no good reason. I will let you know what happens....

I looked at Harbor Links & the place is gorgeous but I got so much more at my hall (Sans Souci) for half the price of what Harbor Links wanted- I dont remember the guys name that I met with but he was not flexible at all- so I would keep looking

They were pretty flexible with me and I booked it. Now you are all worrying me. How much did they quote you?

I had the exact opposite experience with them.
I narrowed it down to them and Larkfield Manor and decided to go see both back to back. went to WM, was told date was booked since I had been there 2 days prior but the next Sun would be ok by me. So asked could they do any better in price. was told no they already dropped some dollars on original quote to me. so I said thank you and we were deciding betw them and Larkfield so we would let them know and they let us walk out the door .

so off to Larkfield to look again and it was completely opposite reaction. they asked what could they do for us to make it happen. so we got viennese trays of pastries and a chocolate fountain and signed with them.

the people are so friendly and helpful and even after we signed added some things. so I highly recommend checking them. the place is all remodeled, beautiful and the food is fabulous.
