So I have a question about how you would feel if you were in this situation.
Lets say one day at work you decided to stand up for yourself and what is right.
Let's say this cost you your job.
Afterwards woud you feel that it was worth it?
P.S. this just happened to me

I would say YES - standing up for yourself and for what you believe in isn't always the easy thing to do, but in the end, it will be worth it.
I'm sure its scary, but you can't fault yourself for doing what you believe is right.

Re: hard question for you...
yes, i would feel good about it, because i have been in this position before. I didnt get fired, but i eventually left a few months later, because of the situation. It still ticks me off what happened at that job (that was 8 yrs ago), but I know I did the right thing.

It is so important to stand up for yourself! Good for you! I am sorry you got laid off, but it at least you didn't have to compromise your beliefs. It is better for you in the long run, but it ***** right now.

It's a blessing in disguise!
I was in a situation a few years ago where certain practices were being done and favoritism was rampant, and finally it got to the point where myself and a few others decided that it wasn't right to allow it to continue to us, and left. Do I miss the extra income? Sure. But I certainly don't miss being treated the way we were. I'm sorry you're going through this right now, especially if this was your only means of income, but you deserve better, and you'll find it!

YOU BET!!!!
If it meant loosing my jobg over something that was truly right, or standing up for myself after beign treated badly...
YOU BET YOU A$$ I would NOT regret it.
In fact, I would throw a party to celebrate leaving a crappy job that treated me like shizz!

Although I've never been in the situation, I would say YES absolutely I would feel it was worth it. There's other jobs; there's only one you! And you need to defend yourself.

Re: hard question for you...
I did it 4 years ago and it was the most horrible feeling ever... the boss said to me 'this just isn't working out' and I retorted 'it's not working out for me either!' even though my heart was beating like crazy. I, in my stupidity, went on to say 'you know, you're going to have a very hard time finding someone else who can put up with working with XXX because she really is a very difficult person to work with'... oops.
I took two months to regroup and figure out why I was so miserable there, and have been at a wonderful job ever since. And, in those two months, I met FH.
Life works in mysterious and amazing ways.
Things will work out for you, better than you ever expected!
I am sorry that this happened to you but its hard for me to comment without knowing the details of the situation

Defentialy. I have a mouth, but at work I've never really spoken up for myself. I hate my current job so if I got fired it wouldn't matter to me.

Yes. I have done this before. I stood up for myself and I walked out.. and while it was hard at the time I never regretted it for a second.

Absolutely. Stand for nothing, fall for anything.
Being right isn't always popular, and people are always inclined to do whats popular, regardless of whether or not is right.
