Hardwood floors?
Re: Hardwood floors?
I am going to a friends house today who had hardwood floors done in her home. She got this guy through her mother who had them done by him. They look great! I too are looking into using him for our hardwood floors for the main level in our new home. I am getting all the contact info this evening from him, so I will pass it on to you. I have seen the work he does myself, so I know it is good. I also know that if you pay cash $ he will not tax it. I will be sure to get back to you with the info.

For those who are having their floors refurnished now, if you don't mind my asking, how much is it ? And, is it really messy? I heard it's better to do it before you move in b/c the dust gets everywhere. My FI and I are in the process of buying a house and I'd like to get the floors done before we move in, but I don't know if that's going to happen. Will it be okay to get them done after we move in?
Re: Hardwood floors?
I don't remember how much it was, but we moved in with my parents while the work was being done on the floors....and at the time, we didn't have a stich of furniture.
Re: Hardwood floors?
The Co. my friend used is 'Ultra Flooring' They are located in Bayside, Queens but serve all of Long Island. I don't have the phone #, have to look it up myself. But they do an amazing job. I hadn't realized it, but my friend only had her floors refinished, not installed. So for myself, who needs them installed I don't know if they do that. I will be doing some research. My girlfriend though who had hers refinished payed cash $700 for a dining room, living room, hallway. No taxes, because payed by cash. They look great and they did 2 coats of polyurithane.
