Harry Potter

Saw it last night, enjoyed it thoroughly! If you haven't read the books, the first few scenes will go too fast and confuse you insanely. Once they get to Hogwarts, it all settles down and starts storytelling.

But really, if you haven't read the books, GO READ THE BOOKS!!!!!

Re: Harry Potter

I'm happy to hear the beginning goes fast.

That was the first book that had a lot of pre-Hogwarts stuff in it, & it was entertaing to read, but I wqas thinking it was really going to slow the movie down. I hate seeing things as soon as they come out, so I'm not sure when wera re going to go, but it will be soon!

The beginning went WAY too fast compared to the book. It was really choppy and awkward to watch.

Overall, a great movie. They had a lot more humor in it and lots of little sexual innuendos (sp?). They really captured a lot of the awkwardness of being an early teen. Could definitely go see it again! But seeing a midnight opening show is the best. People were clapping, cheering, laughing, and wearing costumes! Lots of fun.

I hate when people clap & cheer in moviees. THe peeopel on the screen can't hear you & it's nto liekt eh direc tor is right ther with you.

I've never been to a movie where people wore coustmes, but if tht floats your boat. . .

You 2 have gotten me really curious about the beginning now. I am actually really looking forward to this, one b/c of the new director. I hated the last one.

I came in 'costume'. I really just wore my black graduation robe and the ravenclaw scarf my friend made me, but I count that. I LOVE going in costume! Holdover from my Rocky Horror days, I guess.

See, I loved the last one. I don't know how you'll like this one - but it's definitely different from PoA. I thought the beginning went too fast too, but it's okay as long as you've read the book.

My only audience related problem last night was the two moronic high school girls telling me that they were annoyed that King Kong was being remade, telling me 'Well, you can't remake a classic.' Of course, they were both all excited about the trailers for the re-makes of 'Cheaper by the Dozen' and 'The Shaggy Dog' which they obviously didn't know had been previously made.

I don't know why this surprised me when I first saw it, because I know that's not out of character for you! If only I could have seen you myself...

I'll wait, like I always do, to buy the DVD. I never go see the Harry Potter movies at the movie theater, but I own them all.

That's okay, Rebecca, I'll probably see it enough times for both of us!
