Re: Harry Potter Fans

I love Harry Potter! I read and have all of the books. I am one of those geeks that even bought those extra books (that JK Rowling didn't write) just to see if there was more information that I could absorb about him, that I didn't already know. I can't wait for the movie, it looks great!!

Re: Harry Potter Fans

LOVE Harry Potter - Arthur Levine (the publisher if you look under the title) is a friend of the family, so his parents turned me onto him before it even came to the states. They even got me a suigned copy for me and my class when I was student teachjing... I kept the book, of course!!!

I wasnt crazy abt the recent movie, however...

Re: Harry Potter Fans

I am neutral - meaning I have never read any of the books or seen any of the movies. I don't have the time in my life right now to commit to reading. I'm just curious...what is the appeal - what is it about these stories that people are so crazy about?

iT is just a nice clean story. about a boy and his friends growing up in their world at school and the muggle world. (muggle means non magic folk) Their is no cursing, no sex, just a nice story to enjoy and watch. I recommend watching the movie then read the book.

Re: Harry Potter Fans

That's cool do you get free books?

lipglossjunky73 Posted: Dec 22, 2005 06:20 PM

Re: Harry Potter Fans

I got one from JK Rowling autographed to me and my class (back when I was student teaching...)

but I have bought all the others - don't want to bother him!

the funny thing is - he worked for Scholastic for years, branched out on his own - he's still with Scholastic, but he has his own publishing there - and picked up Harry!!!

Good thinking, huh?
