Has anybody used Bridal Elegance?

Original post by Fausha

Has anyone used or heard anything about Bridal Elegance? Because I was recommended to Phyllis at Bridal Elegance.

I used her for my alterations and she was fantastic. I've read 1 bad review of her, and 1 semi-bad review among the 50 or so reviews I've read on her.

I ordered my BM dresses from her and I'm going there this weekend to order my FG dress. She gave me amazing prices on all the dresses. I shopped around elsewhere because she doesn't have a big selection in her shop, then I just emailed her the names and style numbers and she got me a price. I would definitely recommend her!

i got my dress through her and she was great. she was able to get me my dress for $300 less than the bridal shop. The alterations were great and I even rented a card box from her. I would def recommend her.

Think she will be able to help me find BP dresses with sleeves (not straps!)! Since I can't find anything that won't make my 16 year old sister look like an old lady!

I ordered my wedding gown through her and she definitely beat the prices I was getting from other places. She knows what she is talking about but she gets very busy! So the best time to get her full attention would probably be during the day.

I went in there in the afternoon during the week and Phyllis spent over an hour showing me dresses and I tried a bunch on. She is such a sweetheart. Although her store is really small, there is a decent amount of gowns there. I already had a dress in mind that I found somewhere else and she is saving me almost $300!! I am going to order my MOH's dress there too.

Re: Has anybody used Bridal Elegance?

i love phyllis!! i called her up after getting some crazy prices for my BM/MOH dresses. and she gave me the lowest price right over the phone in like 5 min.!!

i didn't get my gown at her shop (i should have!) but had i gotten my gown from her i would have saved nearly $400!!!!

instead i was unhappy with my dress shop, and went to her for alterations even though i didn't get my gown from her. she has been so sweet and wonderful and is doing an amazing job on my dress. when i thought it would never look right on me, in two fittings she has solidified my decision in getting the gown in the first place!

The good thing about the place...her prices. She can't be beat. But I think since opening her store she's going through some growing pains. She's not doing her own alterations and that seems to be the biggest problem.

We used her for the BM dresses and she did the alterations on my mom's gown. There was a problem with every single dress. They were all taken in too much and generally not done right. The night of my wedding my mom's hem came down so there I was ON MY KNEES, YES, ON THE GROUND pinning my mom's hem so she wouldn't trip on her gown. Nice right?

Oh and she was supposed to dye my shoes... I say supposed to b/c when I got them back they didn't look tinted at all. They didn't match my ivory gown.

I would recommend purchasing the gowns from her but consider going elsewhere for the alterations.
