I am thinking about applying for a nursing position in the county jail (I live in florida).
What do you girls think?

I worked in several kiddie jails---like detention centers, residential treatment centers, etc.... Never really had any problems. I miss working with those kids. What kind of jail? Women's? What kind of offenders? I think those things would make a difference to me.

It just the county jail like for everyone who gets arrested in Pinellas county. Both men and woman.

FH works in a jail. . .I would just think you should keep in mind the different types of people you'll be dealing with. . . .I think you'll be okay, correction officers will be present at all times, but just think of the trashy, smelly and bad people you'll have to deal with. (not everyone in jail is like this, but there are def lots of them!)

He doesnt care! He is so layed back nothing ever bothers him. Sometimes it ***** that he never gets bothered but sometimes its GREAT!
The pay for this job is $5 more an hour than what I would be making in a nursing home.
I just dont think i can turn down that kind of money.
