I live near there (well did, my parents still do). Are you looking for a hotel block for your wedding or for you for a visit?

yes! i have stayed at the best western several times, not amazingly beautiful or anything but clean and comfortable. we checked out the hilton garden inn and it's brand new and lovely but more expensive and 2 night minimum. the holiday inn is also nice! the jamesport country inn we've stayed at too!

Yeah some of the hotels are quite expensive and unfortunately the new hotel is already booked for our weekend

unfortunately, the only major hotels out there are te Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Best Western. You can find smaller B&B's and small motels, I don't know how many OOT guests you have.
I know, they are expensive, it ***** but they know they are the only rooms out that way and they get a lot of tourists/wine tasters/pumpkin pickers/beachgoers/summer city ppl!
Here are some other small motels and B&Bs...
Swiss Motel 631-369-1855 1273 West Main St. Riverhead, NY, 11901
Budget Host Inn 631-727-6200 30 Riverhead-Moriches Rd (Lake Avenue) Riverhead, NY 11901
Greenview Inn 631-369-0093 1433 W Main Street Riverhead, NY 11901
