has anyone been on Windjammer cruises????
Re: has anyone been on Windjammer cruises????
my GF took one for her HM. i remember her saying it was very small and very casual. they had a blast, but because the ship was so small they felt a lot of the ocean movements. it's a very intimate cruise - if i remember correctly, under 100 or 50 people.

I did and I loved it. You cant compare it to a regular cruise its a totally different experience. There is no lux but its lots of fun, very casual some people never got out of their bathing suites. The cabins are very very cozy. I dont remember the food being anyting to rave or complain about. I would do it again but not for my HM

why not for HM???

Its just not my idea of a HM trip. Too casual and you really dont have much privacy. The cabin is really small so I know we would not spend a lot of extra time in it. I would go for a cruise on a big ship instead. Its JMO, like I said I would go on a Windjammer again but for a more casual vac.

You do get time on shore at each island. The Windjammer cruise I took stopped at very small remote islands. The only one that was really known is St Barts, which was wonderful. But some of them must go to the more popular islands. At night we were always at sea. They had local entertainment come aboard at some of the stops. I dont remember island tours or activities being available other than SCUBA. They may have had snorkeling. But they change these things all the time so you really need to check with them and see what they are doing now.
