I haven't been to a wedding there, but I am having my reception there in October! We went for a food tasting and the food is absolutely AMAZING! My cousin got married there about 2 years ago and she said it was wonderful. I have heard nothing but raves about it! I would love to hear what others have thought!!!

I have heard really good things about it from a co-worker. The space was too small for me to even consider it.

i went to a wedding there 3 years ago. i loved the space, b/c it had an upstairs and downstairs. it was great for drinking and talking to people, i had such a great time. the drinks were good, and it was easy to get one.
i do have one bad thing to say and i am not sure if it is against the place or the couple that planned it. they didnt have a sit down dinner, but they wanted to do a cocktail reception with passed hors d'eovers and a station like you would want for cocktail hour. well it seemed like there was barely any food there! i remember leaving after the wedding and getting something to eat with others from the wedding. i wasnt the only one to think that. but i think that may have something to do with the package they chose. but they still should have had enough food.

yes about 2 years ago. it was lovely.
The only problem was there was construction on the LIE at Glen Cove Rd at the time, so EVERYONE got stuck in loads of traffic from every direction. But that's hardly the Metropolitans fault.

I just booked The Metropolitan for my Nov. 24, 2007 wedding about 2 weeks ago! We fell in love with it. My sister in law's sister got married there and they LOVED it. Everyone had nothing but rave reviews and I haven't heard a bad review yet!

My neighbors had their wedding there. They can't stop raving about it and it has been two years! We didn't attend, but i heard many good things. Good food, very helpful staff!

Food is AWESOME - But it's kind of an awkward space IMO - There are large pillars all over the room, and the band was set up behind the bar ....My friends also had a pretty big wedding and I think the room was just too small .... Also the Bride & Groom's table was kind of in a corner and noone knew where they were !!
