Has anyone been to Elegant Bride on Willis Ave. in Albertson?

I was going to go to Elegant Bride on Willis Ave. in Albertson to look at gowns...are they any good?

I have been there. The people are pretty nice and the prices don't seem so bad but you might be able to find cheaper. One dress that I found there and loved is about $200 cheaper at RK in the city. They don't reveal the make of the dresses though so if you find one you like, I suggest you try to find a tag or something so you can figure out what dress it is. They also have a small selection of BM dresses. I would check them out if I were you. They're friendly so why not. GL!

Thanks! I found a place in Queens, Charmet in Bayside, that will order any dress you want...good prices, and free alterations...so I'll probably end up there once I find a dress....but will keep RK in mind too. I can't believe they hide the dress names!

Congrats! Happy planning...how much do you have done - you're wedding is the day before mine...I like to compare notes to make sure I'm not too far behind.

HA! You're right. It's pretty sad that I didn't notice the dates when I replied last time. Little preoccupied, I guess. You know how it is. LOL. I have the DJ, Videographer, and Photographer booked (just finished that up today actually). I also have the florist booked but that's because it's a friend of my FMIL. I'm also on the verge of deciding on a dress. I think it's 'the one'. I'm just trying to compare prices now. I actually called Charmet but they were about to close each time. I'm going to try them again tomorrow for prices. The free alterations are a huge plus!! How about you? How is your planning going?

We booked the vineyard, church, photo/video, band, and caterer pretty early on. We also have the tent (we have a few more things to do than normal, being at the vineyard). I'm pretty sure what florist we'll go with, just from past experience, but haven't looked yet. Looking in to bakeries for the cake, haven't gotten to the limos yet, and only went gown shopping once - that and the bridesmaid dresses are really hanging over my head right now...a little stressed about getting that stuff picked out. Good luck! Looks like we're pretty much in line with our plans - whew - that's a relief!

If you haven't found your gown yet or purchased it...check out Burton's in Melville - just off Route 110...they're awesome - prices are amazing, very friendly! It's not a gorgeous boutique by any means, but the experience is still nice.
