Has anyone been to Fox Hollow wedding ?

I am really considering getting married there. Could anyone give me their honest opinion or feed back on this place? Food, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, etc. etc. I was considering a place that offered one event at a time but Fox HOllow assured me that the events are at staggering hours.

Hi juju, my FH's cousin got married there last year, and it was one of the best weddings I've been to! The coctail hour was outside and the food was amazing. The inside was very nice, I liked that the table were placed away from the dance floor so it was not too crowded or loud. The service was excellent, and our waiter kept the drinks coming. We did not have to get up to go to the bar even once, they were very accomodating. I do not remember much about the food in detail other than how good it was! (i was a little tipsy!) I would have them put in writing or something if they can what they mean by staggering the weddings because we had to share a bathroom with the other wedding, and there was a line. That was the only major problem I can remember, everything else was great!

Great ....thanks for the feedback. Ill check to see what they meant by the hours. I'm glad to hear positive reviews. I've only been to a few places and I kinda want to stop looking around. But, at the same time, I don't want to miss out on any others. We happened to visit right before an event and were able to taste the food. It was amazing!

Actually I used to work there so I can say that they throw a very nice wedding. Any place that has more than one wedding at a time staggers them. I don't think they have a ton of picture taking areas but it is very nice. I have heard that they want to add and/or redo the outside area for more and better grounds.

I went to a wedding there almost three years ago. The only time I saw people from another wedding was in the bathroom (which was big). The garden is beautiful! The one thing I remember is the food - I think it was the best wedding food I ever had!!! And there Viennese dessert table was incredible (though I thought it was a little too much considering the amount of food we had earlier). The only negative thing I remember (which is not a big deal) is that I was FREEZING during the reception. This wedding was in the beginning of July and the AC was on so high that it was very uncomfortable. But that's a problem that can easily be fixed. Good luck!

Thanks. I also heard that after the weekend, they donate their left over food to the homeless.

We placed a temporary hold until tomorrow. So, we may end up having it there!

I've been to few different types of events there...and all great!!

the only bad thing that I've heard was from my old boss...she got married there...but only 50 people at the wedding...and she said she didn't feel like they were really attentive to her, since there were bigger affairs going on...

but take it with a grain of salt

I went to a FH wedding last summer. I can honestly say it was an awesome wedding. The service was amazing. They were constantly taking drink orders and checking if you were okay. And the food was amazing. They even offered seconds!! We are getting married at Westbury Manor another Scotto Brothers site. We looked at other places but FI wanted a Scotto place because he was so impressed with the FH wedding. It was the best wedding cake he ever ate. (And I quote him!) The times of your affairs are staggered meaning your cocktail hour most likely starts an hour earlier or later than the other party. So you don't really notice them. And the bathrooms are large so waits aren't long. The only downside on my friend's wedding day was it rained so the cocktail hour was inside and the room was somewhat small and very, very dark. But I still love the place!!! Good Luck!

I just got married at Fox Hollow. Everything was perfect-the service, the food, I have no complaints. I can't tell you how many people have told me that it was the nicest wedding that they had ever attended. I really want to be a guest at a wedding there so I can enjoy it from the other side.

I went to a wedding there and I ran in to other guests- the events were staggered- but you know people don't stay where they are supposed to and there were people EVERYWHERE! I thought the food was good... it didn't blow me out of my pantyhose- but it takes a LOT to do that to me :)

I thought the wait staff were great and the facilities were nice.

My biggest gripe was ONE BATHROOM DOWNSTAIRS... we had to keep trudging downstairs to go to the loo and had to wait online b/c there were SO many events that night.

I got married there after being in a Bridal party of my friend jeanine when she got married six years ago
I wanted that place b/c I loved her wedding so much

the service was great, my guests l oved the food
they always offer seconds... etc.....
I highly recommend!

My brother got married at Fox Hollow 2 years ago. Everything was great. The garden is gorgeous for picture taking!

We had our wedding there. Although my guests loved that place... I have a different outlook on it. I felt as though they spent a lot of time on the guests, which they should... but they also seemed to overlook us.

I also didn't like that the bathrooms were shared. Staggered weddings caused a lot of commotion when it came time for formal pictures in the photography room. Since our wedding was in March we didn't have any pictures outside... plus i didn't really like thier grounds... it was crazy.

I fell through the cracks with them. I didn't see the same banquet manager twice... that really annoyed me.

I also wouldn't recommend the Inn... totally messed up on the honeymoon accomodations. Although they reimbursed us for the night... that will never change my memories...

I went to a few weddings there, and they were all great. Only one wedding did I run into other guests, and that was b/c I used to smoke & we had to go outside. Other than that it was really great... the food, the garden ....everything.

I went to visit Fox Hollow 2 weeks ago and walked out. We were in the lobby and there was a lady dressed in a very unfashionable bright red blazer YELLING at the top of her lungs, 'WATCH YOUR STEP. GO DOWN THE HALL AND TWO DOORS ON THE RIGHT!!!!'

She repeated this every 5-10 seconds. I had to sit and talk to the receptionist (who was really abrupt anyway) and we had to shout to hear each other over the shouting.

I realized that I needed a venue that was a bit more subdued. I also didn't think I would mind being somewhere with other brides until this.

We left after 10 minutes. I already had a headache. Maybe the actual reception would have been nice but going through the lobby is too stressful. It felt like a third grade field trip where I was being yelled at to stay in line.

Just my opinion. Lots of people seem to have really liked it.

I had my wedding there in Novemeber and everything was great! I got so many complients on the food and service from all the guests! My wedding was in the afternoon and there was no other event so sharing the bathroom was not an issue. If you have any questions feel free to FM.
