You mean Mohank Mountain (not sure of the spelling either) I saw a post on her recently about it...cant remember, but there was a link to their website...beautiful place! do a search and see what comes up..good luck!

I looked into it for our anniversary but it seemed a bit pricey for the area. (it's basically an all inclusive as far as meals, activities. etc) Also, I had heard a few mixed reviews on the food...can't comment first hand though.
my sister went to college in New Paltz (right next door) so she has been there a few times and just raves about it...they actually went there for their mini-moon after their wedding...(couldn't take HM right away)
it is a bit pricey...and their is a dress code (otherwise DH and I would have gone...but DH couldn't imagine dressing up every night for dinner )

Mohonk is beautiful. I been going there w/ my family since I was a kid, mainly for the day. The food is okay, lots of weird combinations, but fairly good.
Very quiet & awesome hiking trails & scenery. They are in the process of making a spa up there (for opening 2005).
They have ice skating and for dinner men must be jackets.
The rooms are very pricey, sort of B&Bish, but fairly plain.

It is very nice - I have been a few times with my family - I don't remember how the food was - but I can tell you I had a wonderful time - we used to go horse back riding, play golf etc.
I can tell you that Steven King goes there to write from time to time.

I went last summer (2002), with DH (then FH) and it was great!! But there was no a/c and it was pretty hot, and no TV, I thought DH would go crazy but he didn't. It really is beautiful and we had a great time.
