Is it a nice place to go for part of our honeymoon? We want to go somewhere in Florida that has some nice relaxing beaches. Any thoughts?

I haven't been there but I have been to Sanibel Island. There are a lot of old people there but the beaches are nice and you won't have to worry about crazy kids running around.
When we got married there, the ages were either 6 and under or 60 and over

My FILs have a condo in Naples. We vacationed there this past summer and FH and I are staying there for 4 days before our honeymoon cruise departs.
Downtown Naples is a lot fo fun -- really cute shops, some really nice bars, and some GREAT restaurants. The beaches are really clean and nice too.
Only thing is, dont expect a place like Miami or Southbeach. There arent many young people and (other than the few younger bars at night) its not very 'jumping' (okay, that was a retarded word, but I couldnt think of another word for what I wanted to say there ).
But overall, its a nice, relaxing place to go and theres a few really nice shopping/downtown areas that are really clean, upscale places.

My uncle has a house down there. Its beautiful. We go every year but it is still in the process of being developed. Good beaches, great restaurants and shopping but very low key. It would make for a great vacation, but not necessarily a honeymoon, IMO.

I've never been to Naples, but we do go down to Siesta Key. Gorgeous place with plenty of beaches and sand so fine, it feels like baby powder.

I live in Tampa,FL, FM me for more info. Naples is nice, but expensive and full of old people. St. Armand's in Sarasota is nice. St. Augustine is beautiful and historic. W. Palm is nice too.

pretty much anyhwere on the west coast is relaxing. my grandparents used to have a place in Port Charlotte which is about 15 mins from naples, and all the beaches around them were nice and quiet. very family oriented. theres a beach called Boca Grande we used to go to all the time.

Check out New Port Richey FL. Beautiful Beaches, Nice place to go !!!!!!!!! I lived in Fl 22 yrs. let me know if you have any questions.
