Anyone been to the Paradisus in Punta Cana or know anyone who's went there? Any reviews? Thanks ladies.

YES! I was there last month Thats where FH proposed!! It was GORGEOUS!
We stayed at the Royal Suites at the Grand Palladium Resort. Its the adults-only section and we absolutely ABSOLUTELY loved it!!
FM if you have any questions about that or anything else.. flights, $$, etc.

DH and I just got back from Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana. We had a fantastic honeymoon and it was amazing.

I went to Paradisus!! It's so beautiful and clean. Make sure you get the Royal Service, it's the best way to go :)
Oh, and when you get to the airport, take a cab!!! Forget that bus they put you on. For $20 you get to Paradisus much faster and you don't have to sweat to death on that crowded bus (praying that your luggage doesn't get stolen whenever the bus stops)
Other than that, you'll love it!!!!

i've been to punta cana several times.
Stayed at Allegro Resort, Iberostar, and Riu.
I recommend the Iberostar, Allegro was heavily kid populated, the Riu I didnt like as much it was just ok.
I've heard the Paradisus is gorgeous.

I was there last July with FH and his family. It was absolutely beautiful, the hotel we stayed at was Barcelo Bavaro Beach resort. The hotel was ok, the food was eh, kind of plain. But, overall we had a great time.

Thanks for all the info ladies. I will check into the Iberostar as well. Glad to hear such great reviews.
One more question. For those that went to the Carribean...how long did you stay. I wanted to stay for 8 days, my FH wants to stay for 10. I think 10 is too long. I've been to the Carribean tons of times, FH has not. Any opinions!

I would do 10 days - especially if you do Paradissus. There's SO much to do there and you can't cover it all that soon. Try taking the tours outside of the resort. Maybe going to Santo Domingo or Puerta Plata.

FH and I went to Paradisus in June 04 and LOVED it!! It was such a beautiful place, the beach is amazing, and the food is great (at most of the restaurants). We did not get the royal service and I don't feel like I missed out on anything. We went for 10 days and that was just enough for me. We did not do too much, but if you wanted to there are tons of excursions. Also, at the place all non-motorized water sports are included. The people were SO friendly. I can't say enough good things about this place. We are planning to go to the Paradisus in Mexico next year. If you want more info feel free to FM me!

My fiance and I were there May of 2005....We stayed at Sunscape The Beach....The place was beautiful but we were not impressed with the food.....We got a great price for 9 days 8 nights All-Inclusive....All in all we had a great time....This hotel has suites with jacuzzi's on the balconys.... FM me if you'd like more info..... I would definately go back, I would just stay somewhere else....Have heard great things about Secrets.....Try checking the website Tripadvisor.com....It's a great site....HTH!!!
