Has anyone been to the Canary Islands...

My aunt has been there twice and she loves it there! I've seen some of her pictures and they're gorgeous! I wish i could tell you more... sorry.

I have been to three - Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote over the years. Lanzarote was probably my favorite.

Can I ask why you are considering there? IMO there are nicer islands in the Caribbean.

Well we're heading to Europe for our honeymoon (which is in November) and they say the Canary Islands are the Carribean of Europe. What do you think? Not worth it?

It's probably the only place that's very warm in November, so if you want a sun-holiday, they're a good option. IMO, the Canary Islands are not as pretty at the Carribean. It's about 10 years since I was last there, so they may be nicer now, but you won't see the same beautiful beaches or turquoise water. I would prefer the Greek Islands or Cyprus over the Canaries, but the weather won't be very hot there in November.
