I was wondering what was your experience. I would like to go since is the only one closest to me, but only to try and see what's exactly my size. Any input? TIA

I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal in Queens.

The first time I went I tried on 7 dresses. It was a weekday early in the afternoon. The lady that helped me was very patient. The seventh dress was the winner. But I didn't buy it right away. I wanted to try on dresses at Macy's Herald Square.

When I came back to David's Bridal (I couldn't wait for Demetrios dresses), the same lady helped me. She gave me $75 off my gown and 15% off my veil, slip & bra.

My advice: their accessories are too expensive (get your veil on ebay and the slip and bra at any department store). But those ladies were very helpful and patient with me.

Another plus: if you don't need your dress right away, they order a brand new dress from their warehouse in texas (or so they say). I was skeptical, but went ahead and ordered the dress. When it arrived, it was flawless.

I'm still deciding if I'll get alterations done there though.

I went because it's the closest to me too.

They were not patient at all. I called ahead and they still didn't want to take me. And god help you if you're less than an hour before closing - I learned that the first time I was there. They dont like to let you even look around then. And all of the girls were complaining about who was gonna take me or the next person. They were really miserable even though i tried to assure then that I knew exactly which two dresses I wanted to try on real quick. Finally a lady helped me carry the dresses to my room and then disappeared, never to be seen again. Thankfully my friend was with me for help.

Let's just say, don't expect to be pampered or even treated well.

But if you have a companion, call ahead, and a hard shell then you'll see the dresses you want to see and be done with it.

I has a great experience there. The salesperson was very patient and helpful. I tried on about 8 dresses and ended up getting the last one. Everyone there was really nice. I did however go on a weekday afternoon and there were very few people in the store. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

I had a wonderful experience there just last week. Granted, I just went in to get flower girl slippers but they were WONDERFUL!! Kind, speedy, helpful. The place is clean and organized - I was so impressed! Waaay better than the AWFUL one in Carle Place.

One of my BMs got her dress at the David's Bridal in Queens and she said they were great (which is more than I can say about the two David's in CT).

I ordered my dress there, the first time i went there no one wanted to help me, my sales person dissapeared after she brought me some dresses. The second time i went, itold them and they had this lady ETTA take care of me, she was great.

I had a bad experience in there the first time I went to try on dresses and walked out, never to return (didn't even try and dresses on!) I have also been to the one in Carle Place and while it was better, the sales lady kept trying to put me in dress styles I told her I didn't like b/c she thought they'd look great. Ended up purchasing at RK Bridal in the city with no appt. needed!

I went to the one in carle place b/c its closer. I had no problem.just go in the am during the week. Its always packed. When I went to try my dress there weren't too many people. Very nice employees. I also got my bam dresses there. They give you a discount if you do. Donate panic when the dress is bigger then your normal dress size. Its Egyptian cut. she told me about 2 sizes bigger than normal.
