I'm trying to plan the HM and wanted to know any info about Crete, Mykonos and Santorini, We would be going there in August and are not sure if thats a good time to be there.

I haven't been there but I've heard it's gorgeous. Try doing a search on the honeymoon board. You should be able to find some info on there.

Beautiful islands- all three of them- I havnt been to crete santorini or mykonos but I have been to several other greek islands and I gotta tell you they are ALL equally beautiful.
Heads up though especially Santorini and Mykonos - they are VERY crowded in August- its one of the busiest months for them (that and July) so just be aware that it will be crowded and very touristy- if that doesnt bother you i say go for it if it does - I would reccomend to def go to santorini ( they say its a sight not to be missed) but instead of mykonos try another low key island ( paros? naxos?samos? ikaria? To name a few) crete should be fine also!

I'm going on my HM to Greece, but we're taking a late honeymoon....June 2008.
Friends of ours just went in May for their HM for two weeks and loved it. They went to Mykonos and Santorini and said it was just starting to get busy there but they loved it.

I am a Greek Godess and Santorini and Mykonos are the best places to go for HM. I am trying to convinve FH to go. I have never been to crete but want to go. In august there is a lot of tourist. Santorini is a more romantic place, mykonos is party central. Beautiful though.

I'm going to the Greek Isles for business in October and then again on a land tour in November. I will FM you my journal (I have to write one for work) when I get back. I am sure it's amazing.

Just got back from our honeymoon in the Greek Isles...we got married in July and spent about two weeks there...visited Santorini, Crete and Athens...Santorini is so beautiful definitely romantic and a must see...Crete was also awesome...Athens was nice too although it was super hot when we were there...we didnt find Santorini or Crete to be too busy and we thought the weather was perfect...fm for more details or questions

i went on a cruise to all three in 97. IMO mykinos is the best and most beautiful. crete was a little sketchy. rhodes was super fun. i went in april and it was chilly. id bet its gorgeous in august! good luck!
