Fh and I really want to go to Fiji on our honeymoon. When I contacted a travel agent about it I was crushed about the price. I was curious has anyone booked a Fiji honeymoon? How much did it cost you and who did you book through? TIA

My future brother-in-law went to Fiji for his honeymoon and it cost them either $15k or $17k but they stayed for 12 days I think

We booked our honeymoon through phone/email with Cory Orchin, she was amazing! It is costing us about 12K with travel insurance for 14 nights. What is your budget?

I actually have been in touch with Cory Orchin. I didn't want to spend the same amount I am spending on my venue I was trying to keep it around 5-7k. When getting quotes from travel agents they were all outrageous prices. When I go online to look up trips on my own I find ones for 5-6k. I'm not exactly sure why the price difference is so much. I would love to do a 14 honeymoon but realistically with work and only have 3 weeks vacation and any time I have to take off for the wedding next year I feel like 2 weeks would be pushing it for us. at most we can probably do 8 or 9 nights.

I want to do Australia and/or Fiji or New Zealand....I'm not too concerned about budget bc FH's parents are paying, but I am considering a cruise due to time constraints (I can only do 14 days including flights and everything due to being a teacher going during Christmas break)...should be cheaper...I would look into that

i studied abroad in australia and on a weekend student budget traveling from there to fiji cost me just shy of 700 US dollars for 4 days..i am going to tahiti on my honeymoon and we are paying close to 14-15K for 10 days, RT airfare from NYC, staying at top of the line hotels and booked several excursions already...fiji is not going to be far off either, the flight is only slightly passed tahiti...and expense wise it's comparable

U can stay in Fiji for as little or as much as you want. If you want to stay at less luxurious places that aren't all inclusive, then of course it will be cheaper.

Your flights, no matter how you cut it, will be about $2500 a person, that's the biggest expense for Fiji. It would be hard to keep the budget under 7K with that flight cost.

Let me know if you need pricing, we're staying at Matangi island resort and Nanuya Island resort.

Can I ask how the payment plan structure went? I just don't think fh and I can come up with 14-15k plus an additional 14-15k for our wedding.

You have to pay for the airfare up front, and then $1k deposit for hotel. The balance is due I believe 45 days before departure. We also bought travel insurance for medical insurance back up and that was about 500 for the both of us.
