Has anyone changed the terms of a vendor contract before signing?
I'm going to see my photo and video people today at 12 pm. Was the tip included in writing? How about the cancellation clause? Liability of work? Etc.

I marked up pretty much every one of my vendor contracts so far - I either asked them to write what I wanted on the contract, or I wrote it on a separate page and made them sign it. Nothing major - but if they promised or agreed to something in person that wasn't in the contract, I just wanted it documented. So far, none of my vendors has had a problem with it.

same for me... i made changes on the contract and both the vendor and I initialed and dated the changes.

I also had what we were promised put into writing. Then you don't have to worry about it later.

tip = not included in the contract for me
cancellation clause = i amended to my liking, he agreed
liability of work = liability for what? we agreed he would have liability insurance coverage for the day, but if you are not satisfied with the final product, i don't know what type of recourse you have...

I made changes and had my vendor iitial the changes.
