Has anyone come across a videographer that is less than $1000?
We dont want any fancy editing, just someone thats not a relative using a camcorder!

Call one of the local colleges and ask for the name of a film student. If not, my FH and his friends are filmakers, I am sure they could find someone. this is what we're going to do.

Check out NSGraham's budget wedding webpage. I've all ready contacted 2 videographers, and they both responded. Unfortunately, one is not available for my date, but Im making an appointment with Michael Zhu. She has other recommendations that are really good and they are all under $1000.

I met with Mark Heyman - he is a graduate student at the film school at NYU. He charges $1000 and his work is good. His editing is good and he isn't cheesy. I think he's a pretty good guy. Haven't decided about my own wedding yet but from the DVDs he showed me and his prompt replies to my emails - I'd trust him to do a good job

I met with Classic Video Productions in Commack last week and the owner Steve was very nice. Their lowest price for a basic video was $850 taken by all digital video cameras. They use the same equipment they would use for the $2700 package but no fancy editing. Give him a call. Another thing I liked about Steve is the fact he has been doing this for 15 years. Thats a big plus in my book.
