Has anyone decided.......

has anyone decided on what they are getting their FH as a wedding gift? If so what are you thinking of getting?

FH wants a really really nice watch.. so probably that, and i might get it engraved with a saying in Italian

We're not getting each other anything.. I'll probably write a really sweet card to him on the day of. We're planning on taking a big trip for our one year anniversary, since we can't decide on our honeymoon destination, so that will be our gift to each other

I'm thinking a gold watch would be great for sentimental reasons, and b/c it would last forever, but I know he would love a lay z boy or a plasma TV.

I'll probably go for the watch. I was going to try to save for a la z boy for an engagement gift form me to him, but then I had to stop working b/c of my back, and no every cent has to go to the wedding

I got him a bulova watch when we got engaged.. I think we will forego wedding gifts and buy something nice for each other on the HM

marymoon - a layzboy is a great idea! I was thinking about a pocket watch, but I'm not sure. I know be would love a recliner though.

for anyone who is planning on getting their fh a watch, i bought my fiance a wonderful movado watch (called 'meza') for a bday gift last year and i got a great price on it: $410. It is very nice with a silver dial. i did a lot of shopping around on 47th street times square and found the watch for that price, then i went to my local jeweler who i knew i could trust and quoted him that price and he agreed! My fiance was so happy b/c we recently went to zales and they wanted 700 for the same watch a year later.. hehehe.

i always told my fh that i would get him a rolex when we get married...but somehow i dont think that is happening! i also saw on one of those wedding shows that this fiancee would send her fh a letter each day for 8 days leading up to the wedding. i thought that was really cute and romantic! good luck girls finding the perfect gift.

Well it looks lik a watch of some sort are the main i deas I think that is what I am gonna do I think I am going to go for the mavodo. ITs kinda hard though cuz we have a joint savings and checking account so I am gonna have to start swindling some cash somehow lol lol lol.

A lazy boy is another good idea but we don't have the room.

I think im doing the cuff links....i dont think its the most romantic thing in the world..but he has mentioned he would like to have them. I am also trying to find a 76 Vette (his DREAM CAR) that we can leave the reception with and have till we leave fo rour honeymoon (Mon/Tues)
