I was talking to FMIL and she was saying how she wants to take a lot of group shots with her extended family. I planned on getting my pictures done before CH...so i dont want to do this. I understand FH's cousins and aunts/uncles...but not HER cousins, aunts, and uncles... COME ON. Am i being ridiculous?

How many more pictures would it be? Can you just do a few more large group shots? Probably would only take an extra 10 min or so... If she is asking about the pictures it probably means alot to her and I would just do it to make her happy, just my opinion.

Its just that those pics take forever to set up, and they have to be done during the CH or reception...bc that is when all of the people are present. It does kind of aggravate me that I have to spend my time waiting for these pics.... but you are right ...if its that important to her, ill do it

I understand.. I dont want to spend time during the CH to take pictures as well but that the only time we are going to have to take pictures with the grandparents, aunts, cousins etc... so I was thinking of asking the grandparents and those aunts and uncles that we want to take pictures with to show up about 20-30 min earlier just to take the pictures so we dont have to miss the CH. We are taking pictures somewhere else after the church but I dont want to drag the grandparents out for that. I hope my plan works out cause that would be fantastic!! Can you set something up like that where they show up earlier so you can have more time at your CH?

Absolutely not- I don't think you are being ridiculous at all! I plan on NOT having ridiculous amounts of formal extended family shots, it's not neccesary in my opinion and a waste of MY time. As snotty as it sounds- I just wamt to have a blast and not be bombarded with too many photos with extended members.

Nah i cant do this. It would take forever. i think teh photgrapher does thi severday & he knows the shots brides want. i fi see somethign i really want mayeb iwill ask but otherwise im going with the flow.
