We are having a winter wedding and I love flowers but extravagant flowers just aren't in the budget. I don't really want a lot of flowers at all, except for bouquets and rose petals on tables.
We want to do tall centerpieces with branches and hanging candles... my mom wants to try doing them herself, which is fine with me because she's so creative, but I am wondering if it will end up costing the same amount if we went to a florist.
I have pictures in my album of what we want... no flowers on the centerpeices, just a tall glass vase with branches and candles... anyone know how much this will cost thorough a florist?

I have gotten quotes anywhere from $60-200 per piece. I would suggest looking into hidden esscence...I believe she is vendor on here. She had the most reasonable prices, and great ideas as well. She also has a facebook page with a bunch of her work on it as well...

I haven't gone yet but everyone I know has used Burton's. They are around $1700 for all the centerpieces and boquets and they used any flowers you want.

I looked into getting these as our centerpieces - we were quoted $275 per table for the entire set up.

you'd be surprised at how non-floral branch CPs actually cost! sometimes it even costs more than floral CPs!
if your mom could pull it off, you could order the branches online and save a ton.

Non-floral centerpieces can cost just as much as flowers because of the vases that have to be bought or rented by the florist. I'm doing 3 tall vases per table with candles and 1 or 2 floating flowers and they were about $100 per table at every florist I visited.

I would not go through a florist for this. I would do it yourself. Try this website: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/
They have some great branches and you can definitely get the look you want for wayyyyy less than a florist.

About 2 years ago, my friend used a little place in brooklyn called Little Wedding works. I believe they charged her about 90-100 for her branch centerpieces. One of my other friends, is using ******* and she is only paying 100 for branch centerpiece.

Thanks ladies! I am so shocked that this costs so much through a florist. We are definitely going totry to do it ourselves. Michael's has great sales and they have great vases.

I was going to do something like this initially and found this website to be very helpful when pricing out potential costs SaveonCrafts for branches and crafts. Pretty decent prices and more selection than michaels regarding specific elements. I hope this helps!!
