My church will not let me throw... well ... anything. They say I can only do bubbles. I am worried about 2 things: one, do they stain the dress if it pops on it (I am wearing an ivory satin gown) and two, if the church has marble steps... isn't that dangerous??
I wasn't going to do it, but FH thinks we should do something as we leave the church!
(and our wedding is in Jan, so no butterflies either!)

Re: Has anyone done the bubble thing?
I was in a bridal party a few weeks ago where she used bubbles and bells. I didn't have any stains on my dress and I didn't notice any on the bride.

Re: Has anyone done the bubble thing?
I did bubbles too. No problems at all. I got a basket and decorated it will tulle and had all the bubbles in there. My ring bearer assisted by my little brother (26 - lol) gave them out. Supposed wedding bubbles are non-staining. nothing happened to my nor my girls gowns. Looks so pretty in pictures!
Let me see if I can find pictures.

Re: Has anyone done the bubble thing?
The bubbles look beautiful. But here is an FYI - one of my BMs got married in February and the Bubbles froze. You couldn't blow them and when you tried, the liquid went on our jackets and looked like sticky white stuff - kind of like you-know-what

Re: Has anyone done the bubble thing?
Another warning about bubbles....I've said this before. My grandparents went to a wedding and after the bubbles, my grandfather had all these spots on his suit from when the bubbles popped - careful with dark color suits and dresses....

Re: Has anyone done the bubble thing?
we are doign bubbles too - as have many weddings we went to - bubbles don't stain - unles you make them yourself with a colored soap...and even if they pop on the ground i doubt it would be enough to actually make someone slip!!
