Ended up taking a little break from appointments. My wedding is a little over a year away and I have gotten the site, favors, and photographer but that's it. I am finding it hard to get motivated to go to appointments in this weather. Am I alone on this?

We took time off also. We booked the photo/video one weekend, then took a couple of weekends off, then did something else and so on. We would have burnt out if we did everything at once.

We took off the holidays -- thanksgiving through new years and it was the best thing we could have done. We're really excited to be planning again!

From Thanksgiving to New Year's, I did almost no wedding planning. I couldn't take it anymore! I was no longer motivated or excited. In fact, I got depressed coming onto this site because many people here were excited and motivated, so I thought something was terribly wrong with me, like maybe I shouldn't marry my FI. I asked the same question a couple of months ago and found out I was not the only one. Now, I'm excited and motivated again. Take a break if you need to. Who said you need to do all of this planning now?

I hate making all the appointments and trying to schedule everything! Once I actually go I usually enjoy it, but I keep putting off making the appointments.

We took a few breaks during the planning. There are times when you just don't feel like doing it and other times, you just dont have anything to do.

You have a lot of time yet although, it goes by quickly. I had to take a major break from the band/orchestra hunt for awhile..it was stressing me out and making the planning---un-fun. After a brief break I felt better

We took a break from like November 2002 to February 2003.... You need to take a break... all of this stuff gets VERY overwhelming!
Take a break and relax... you're doing fine so far
