stayed at the Borgata in Atlantic City, if so how was it? If not there any other good recommendations? My girlfriends and are looking for a close get away, and with none of us being from NY, makes it kinda hard!! Thanks!!

Not me but my friend Allyson goes there all the time! She loves it! I usually go to the Taj Mahal. A good thing about the Taj Mahal is it is on the boardwalk, where the Borgata is not. When I go there and need a break from the gambling I like to walk down the boardwalk and go in all the stores! But if it is a night trip then you may not need the boardwalk. With whatever choice you make I hope you win lots of $$$!

I've been to the Borgata...It is beautiful a nd lots of fun...my only 2 complaints I like to gamble and the lowest table there was was $25. Also, we wanted to go to the club on a Saturday night and at midnight there was a line around the casino. That was closer ot when it first opened so maybe it's not quite as packed anymore. But it definitely is the nicest hotel/casino in AC.
Oh yeah, and it's also on the other side of AC so you really can't walk to any other places frm there (maybe Harrah's), but I think the boardwalk is kinda skeevy anyway!

Yeah, the Borgata is the new one. Tried making a last minute reservation, and they had no rooms big enough for 6 girls. Thankfully, we were able to get a last minute reservation at Bally's, at a decent rate. I hope it's nice. Thanks for the info tho, next time we will try the Borgata, in advance of course. LOL!!

Borgata is really nice, its really clean and more modern than some of the other hotels!
The only gripe I have about this hotel is FH and I werent pleased with the dining choices! I think they could use more restaurants to choose from!
The other thing, its not on teh 'strip' so to speak! if you want to go to another casino you have to drive, its down by Trump Marina and Harrahs which are all separate from the area where showboat, Taj Mahal and the others are!
