Has anyone ever been to a food tasting at the Woodbury Country Club?...

at The Woodbury Country Club? I am going this weekend so can you tell me how it works? Do you usually stay the whole time of the wedding/do they let you try everything from appetizers to cake?? Thanks.

Don't know about the food tasting but one of my Best Friends is getting married there the day after you!! I'll ask her about it...

i'm getting married there on the 11th and i have been there for a tasting. It was their 'showcase' in February. They have the whole cocktail hour set up as if it were a wedding. It is awesome! You just go around and taste whatever you want. They have drinks too. The food is really great!

we did. the food is really good. they just sat us down in a room and kept serving us appetizers and dinners. i dont think we had any deserts. have fun at your tasting

I got married there last month. My tasting was during a prom. You are given samples of butler-serviced foods as well as some hot plates to cover the cocktail hour. We were served 2 of the 3 choices - - Chateu Briande and the Grill Chicken. All I can offer you is this - - DO NOT EAT BEFORE YOU GO. The food was terrific and you will leave full. You have nothing to worry about - - the food is excellent, service was top-notch and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. If I can figure out my scanner, I'll post some pictures.

P.S. - - they offered dessert, but we couldn't eat another bite. If it's someone's wedding, I don't think they will offer you that, but they might offer you pastries, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.

I'm not sure what happened with my sister and tasting...but I will say that the food was fabulous...

Hi, they sit you in a room, you take as long as you need(not the length of the wedding), they didn't offer us dessert I wish they had!!!
I even snuck downstairs while the guets were at the cocktail hour to see the room set up for a wedding, it looked beautiful!

We haven't set up our tasting yet, but please let me know how it is. I feel kind of strange calling them up and basically inviting myself to someone else's party (without them knowing it). I'm very curious to see how it's really set up and whether the food tastes as good as it sounds. Please be sure to post about it when you get back!

jannshari - why do you feel strange? You are spending a lot of $$ so why not go and taste the food..(even if the people getting married don't know about it). We won't be in the same room as the party going on but we will be able to see the room all set up beforehand and how it will look... I am very much looking forward to it. I'm sure that these people that are getting married on Saturday probably went to a food tasting as well... you should check it out too to see it for yourself.. who to better judge how the food tastes??...Lol..
