We are considering it for our honeymoon, which needs to be booked asap, our wedding is 4 weeks away!!! Has anyone ever been here or near here? What did you think about it and where did you stay?

We stayed at Secrets Capri in Playa del Carmen about a year and a half ago. It's very nice, adults only all-inclusive. Here is a link:

I went to a wedding there 3 years ago. It was very nice but we stayed at an all inclusive and didn't leave the grounds. Sorry I can't be more help.

We are going to playa and cancun in September. It is supposed to be amazing!
Only thing is, September is hurricane season. We were in Mexico last September and it was just fine, and we're doing it again this one, but you might not want to gamble with your hm. Just a thought.

I've been there twice. Once in Riu Yucatan and the other at Grand Aventura if I'm not mistaken. We loved it there. THey were both all inclusives and the beach is awesome!!!

We just got back from Playa del Carmen-stayed at the Royal Hideaway! It was the most fabulous all-incllusive we have stayed at thus far. The resort was gorgeous, multiple course lunches and dinners and the staff treats you like royalty. We are definitely going back and would highly, highly recommend it.

we spent the day there when we went on a cruise. we went to Tulum(Mayan Ruins) and hung on the beach and shopped. There are lots of restaurants and water sports. I would go back there and stay for a week next time.

I just got back from Playa del Carmen. We went there for our first wedding anniversary, and we loved it.
We toured a brand new (adult only) hotel called The Royal. It looked amazing. There were jacuzzi's in the suites, it was beachfront and there were cabanas on the beach that you could reserve for your use.
The hotel also had a great location. It was right near the famous Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) which is loaded with restaurants, bars and lounges. Tons to do.
Just one warning - unless you are interested in buying a time share or joining a vacation club - steer clear of all the people offering breakfast or lunch or tours at a discount. They usually are in exchange for your presence at a 90 minute sale presentation.
We stayed in tulum (further south), but went to hang out and shop in Playa. I think Moon Place is near there. i also heard Excellence is great. Im not sure where its located exactly though.
