Has anyone ever been to the Divi or Tamarijin Resorts in Aruba?

If so...what did you think overall?

I found some good packages there.

Diamondgirlie and I are staying there on our HMs...we'll tell you how it is!

The guy who sits next to me stayed there on a family vacation and had a good time. Not sure what he thought of the ACTUAL hotel, but he LOVED Aruba and couldn't say enough good stuff about it!

We're staying at Divi in Aruba. Will let you know how it is next month. My FMIL goes all the time and loves it. I've heard all wonderful things about Aruba. I can't wait to go

We stayed at the Bucuti, which is down the road a bit from the Divi and the Tamarijn. We walked down there 2 or 3 times when we were there. The Divi looks a little nicer to me, so it might be worth it to pay a little extra so you can use both places if you stay at the Tamarijn. There was live music and dancing one night we went by there (at the Divi) and they have these golf cart type shuttles that drive you between the two. There is also 2 good sized grocery stores across the street (a block or two away I think) from the Tamarijn.

You will have a great time there. I like that side of the island better than the high rise section, JMO.

You all must be so excited to go to Aruba! Please let me know what you think about the resorts after you go. I have never been to Aruba, but I hear such great things about it.
I think I am more excited about the honeymoon than the actual wedding.

Yes - I have stayed at Tamarjin, 2 years ago. My fiance and I hated it. We are not picky people but we have both stayed at a cleaner room at Motel 6.

The room was so dirty! The carpets needed cleaning. I did not walk barefoot in the room once the whole trip. We tried to change hotels the minute we walked in but the whole isalnd was booked. We got the room through the time share company RCI. We called them and the only thing they could do was get us a room in St. Martin - but we had out hearts set on Aruba. So we tuffed it out for the week and we had a great time anyway, but6 it was terrible. All of the pools were closed for renovations.
I will see if i still have the pictures of my room.

HOWEVER - it did look as if they were renovating and it was two years ago so it is most likely alot nicer now.
AND
The Divi resort across the street from Tamarijin was very nice though.
