Do you feel that you got as good of an education as those who went to a University to get their masters? I've been toying with the idea of doing the same thing (getting my masters in education online). Also, did you have a hard time finding a job? (One of the girls here said she would be less likely to hire someone who got their degree online than someone who went to an actual univeristy or college). Where you able to work while doing the online classes???
QUICK! 20 questions! FM with some info if you can. Thanks!

I got my Bachelor's at a 'brick & mortar' school and I loved it. For my Master's I was intrigued to do something different, seeing as how technology is growing ever more prevalant in our lives. I figured I may end up teaching an online course one day, so it would be a good experience to have been a student. I feel that the education I received was just as good, tho there isn't any practical work done; you aren't placed into a student-teaching assignment which kind of bothered me.
At AIU you take 1 class for 5 weeks, I think it's a 10 month program for a total of 8 classes. And they time it so that you get say Xmas week off before you start your next class. I worked full-time while I was going to school online and would work on my assignments at night and on the weekends. They're pretty good about working around your schedule. As far as finding a job, I haven't gotten one yet. But that's not bc of how I got my degree, that's bc I haven't been looking. Shortly after graduating DH and I got engaged so I spent 1.5 years wedding planning and the job search was back-burnered.

Re: HAS ANYONE EVER DID GRAD SCHOOL ONLINE?
it's not a grad program, but the university of texas offers a lot of online classes for about 500 a class (used to be 300, but they just changed it). i'm looking into fulfilling som prereqs through that. go to utexas.edu and look under their 'distance learning' then 'college courses.'
