They have the best fares for what I need but I have never heard anything good/bad about them.

I haven't yet but we will be for a portion of the honeymoon. I believe a friend of mine does all the time out to Vegas.

FH and I flew with them to Arizona - bad experience but not completely their fault. JFK had fog and we couldn't land so we had to fly into Philadelphia and they provided shuttle buses to JFK. What a long trip with a bunch of unhappy people.
We also flew with them to Las Vegas and had no problems but our fingers were crossed the entire time.

Flew America West YEARS ago , going to Vegas. Wasn't my most positive flight experience, but it wasn't the worst either..
Though the general consensus is a big NEGATIVE for them, overall

I flew them once and have since dubbed them America Worst.
What a mess.... their computers went down NATIONWIDE so the flight took off six hours late, I missed my connection in AZ so I had to sleep at the airport - they would not give me a hotel voucher - finally got to SFO and they lost my luggage. What's worse is on the way back to NY, SF got 2 inches of rain in an hour span and the airline not the airport suspended all flights. I told them that I had it and they had to do something to get me home that night. They finally coughed up the money to send me home on a United flight.
Never again!!!!

I flew them to Vegas and didn't have a positive experience either. They are really strict with the weight limits on the baggage. I think it was 50lbs. Plus our flights were delayed.
My Uncle works at JFK and he says everyone calls them Americas Worst.

Just flew with them to AZ the middle of March and had no problems. A few years back we flew with them and did have delays, etc. From what I understand, they have improved their service level ratings over the past few years. I would fly with them again.

I flew them within the past couple of years between San Diego and New York and loved them - it might have been the Pepsi though - I'm a Pepsi girl and they're the only airlines I'd been on that served Pepsi. hehe!

Unfortunately I have! I will never step foot on one of their planes again. It's a shame too because we had built up quite a few miles.
