im thinking about it. i graduate a year ago with a degree in english and i dont have a clue what i could do with it besides teaching and i dont 100% want to be a teacher. i always wanted to be a pastry chef but never thought it was 'realistic'. anyone out there who works in the field and could give some advice?

FH is a pasrty chef but he never went to school for it. He just started at the bottom helping a pastry chef.
I went to school as a hospitality major and that includes 2 years of culinary classes. FH and I both think that he's learned more on the job than I have in all my years at school.
