HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF TEA TREE OIL BEING GOOD FOR PIMPLES?
I looked up on line 'home remedies' and heard tea tree oil was good...SOOOO I went to the body shoppe and bought a whole line of products after talking with them. Have you ever heard of this? Or did i get suckered? I'm so desperate now...I'm trying anything!

Yes. I used to use it years ago. It was okay - I would recommend Proactive Solutions. That's what I have been using for over 3 years and my skin is great.

I got a small pimple a week before my wedding, and I used Clinique facial care treatment remedies every day twice a day, plus toothpaste at night. By the wedding day, it was little and cover up could be used.

I should have mentioned..I tried Pro Active, Murad and it didn't work. My Dermatologist gave me Duac and all it does is dry up my face...I literally had flakes falling YIKES!

You have to use essential tea tree oil - make sure it comes in a dark bottle. I take a q-tip, dip it in the oil, and apply it to any blemish I get. I do it at night because the smell is really strong. It's an almost menthol smell. It works without drying. My facialist recommended this to me.

I had the same with the Duac. If you get one or feel one coming on go to your Dr and have him give you cortozone shots. They inject the pimple and it will be smaller by the next day. I have had it done and it's a miracle.

I've heard that it does work, but never tried it. My face hardly breaks out, but when it does I use Benzaclin for one or two nights when I see a pimple and it clears it up pretty quickly. It could overdry your skin though if you use too often.

tea tree oil works GREAT, but it works best when you just get the oil, not product containtin the oil (those work too, but not as well). If you get the staight-up oil & apply it to blemishes, they go away SO fast!
I love that stuff!

Yes tea tree oil is an astringent botanical, however, don't overdo it bec it will dry the skin and is an irritant even though it is a natural.

I use a product line that has tea tree oil in it and it is wonderful.....I used to use proactiv but after a few years my skin became immune to it and it stopped working. My dermotologist says that sometime that happens when you use a product for a long time.
