Has anyone ever really registered for EVERYTHING on the 'registry checklist'

Has anyone ever really registered for EVERYTHING on the 'registry checklist'

I remember back in the day, registering for SOOOOO much stuff that was on the 'registry checklist'...

Now, I was breezing through someone's registry at Macy's and glanced at the Macy's 'registry checklist' and let me just tell you...there is NO WAY that ANYONE needs ALL THAT STUFF

They're suggesting: fine china, casual china AND everyday china

Crytal, everyday crystal, AND barware

Where is all that stuff supposed to be stored when it's not being used

I agree! When I first got engaged that checklist made me nervous.

I have to admit, we're registered for fine and casual china but the casual is really our everyday dishes. As for the crystal, we registered for fine, casual and barware. I think by barware they mean like low ball and high ball glasses.

umm...no. We just registered for what we need and want. Those checklist are for them just to make $$$$.

I just registered for what I want. I will never bake bread - it is just easier to go to the store. I know I am not going to use china.
I agree alot of that stuff is a waist but it gives people ideas if they can't think and feel overwhelmed.

I think the checklist is just to give you a starting point so you can decipher what you really need....I don't think anyone would have the room for all of that stuff!!!

heck no.

I took a quick look at that checklist and said 'yea, ok'. FH and I have our own place, we're not starting off from scratch.
