How did it go? How long did you have to wait for your case to be heard?

Any advice?

I did over 10 years ago. It took a long time to get a date and the a$$ I was sueing kept postponing the date. The final date the courts would give us he ended up not showing up but I had to wait 3 hours to speak to the judge, who not surprisingly when you saw my evidence ruled in my favor and increased the $ I was asking for by double for 'agravation' the guy put me through. It took 2 years to collect from him. I had to send the cops after him to get my money. The government had sent me a check for the money he owed me and they went after him. They showed up at the business and arrested him. He quickly came up with the money right after that happened! Jerk!

ETA: advice: get a lawyer to look over any letters to the business letting them know they need to rectify the problem or you will sue, and also let them know you have a lawyer. Also you have to be VERY on top of things and keep good records.

Good Luck!

Thanks Lora, I am sending a register demand letter to them on Monday. Dh's BIL is a contract attorney so I will ask him to look over everything. The fact that it took so long for your case to be heard is what I am afraid of, that by the time our case is heard that our furniture will be discontinued and we will NEVER see the replacement pieces.
