Has anyone felt...

Has anyone felt...

so much stress before their wedding that they have/had terrible chest pains that it's difficult for them to move and/or get up???

I had horrible chest pains about a month ago, came to the conclusion that it was just stress. About 2 nights ago, it came back really bad. It's in my chest, then my back. I have trouble sleeping. I called my doc today, but couldn't get an appointment. I was supposed to go away this weekend ,and I'm still debating, b/c maybe getting away will be good for me, but I'm afraid to drive back and forth and feel that being away will keep me from doing wedding stuff, but then I feel bad not seeing my friends. I can't win!

Tell me I'm not crazy!!! I just want to feel normal again!

Go away, it sounds like you need the break. Walk away from the wedding stuff and give yourself a rest. Enjoy.

You need to force yourself to go away. It will consume you, seriously. You will be much better off if you take a break and free your mind for a few days. As it gets closer, that won't be an option. You may regret missing this.

Re: Has anyone felt...

At around my 4 month mark, I had chest pains. I went to the hospital because I was worried it was something important-they said it was just stress and gave me vicodin. From that point on, I had to consciously tell myself that I was stressing and it wasn't necessary. Just try to talk yourself through it. DON'T be afraid to ask for help if you need it! Also, remember to give yourself a break from wedding stuff. The week of my wedding I did stuff that made me happy-seeing my friends, hanging out with oot family, etc. so I could enjoy myself. You're not crazy! Definitely take the trip-it will help get your mind off wedding stuff.

Definitely go away! It will help. If you are an organized person, put your everything together before you go away so you don't stress about it when you get back. It will definitely help!

Well thanks for the advice everyone! I am feeling much better than I have the last 2 days. I didn't pack a bag, like I had planned, b/c I was going to leave straight from work. I do think I need a break and change of scenery. So we'll see how I feel as the day goes on and I'll make my final decision then. Last night I was set on not going, but now I'm leaning more towards going. I just wish it wasn't all the way up to Boston with a 4 hour drive!!

WE went on a 3 day vacation last weekend and iot was JUST what I needed. Yeah, the stress is back but it's not as bad and that weekend was so stress free. I think you should go! We had a few rules - streses we couldn't talk about (the wedding, the house we're trying to buy, etc.) and it worked wonderfully!
