Has anyone gone to the tasting for Carlyle yet?

We are having our reception there on 8/02/02. I think you go back 4-5 weeks before your reception and do your taste. We are dealing w/ Pat, he's been very helpful so far. I would call them to find out. Or you could go to the restaurant there and taste the food, it's the same chef(I think). This is what Pat suggested we do w/ our parents.When is your date? Are you all set w/ vendors? If so, who are you using? I'm still looking for a photographer and florist.

I am getting married this June... The Carlyle recomends very good venders - in my opinion. I went to see two out of the three photographers they rec. and I think they were both very very good - I really wanted to use Creative Composition but they were a little high - so I'm probably going with Fine Art. I am using their florist (Stefans) I will let you know what I think after my wedding, but so far I am very happy with them.

Thanks! Make sure you check back. I was told the owner's son/daughter(?) of Stefan's flowers got married there too. I saw the pictures, they did a great job. Do you have a band or DJ? Who did you choose?

I am having a band - I did go and see Hank Lane - I didn't go with them b/c I didn't like the idea of not hearing and seeing the band in person. I wouldn't tell anyone not to use them b/c I have heard only good things about them. Once I went to band shows I knew I couldn't use them - only for that reason of I like seeing them. This is just my opinion... I have see a lot of people write good things about them on this site. I promise to let you know about my wedding at the Carlyle... I think we made an excellent choice.
