Like, you may be stressed one day and start thinking is this really what I want to do?
I know this is the man of your dreams and all that good jazz, but just taking a step back and really getting nervous?

Re: Has anyone gotten cold feet before?
I've done that. When I'm feeling moody and stressed out, for some reason all I can think about are the qualities in FH that I don't like, annoying habits, etc... and everything he does/says gets on my last nerve. I question what I'm doing marrying him, but then I snap out of it. I know that I love him and truely loving someone means taking the bad with the good. I think everyone has thoughts like this sometimes.

Re: Has anyone gotten cold feet before?
i have definitely felt that way... i don't ever doubt who i picked for my future husband, but i sometimes question how i feel about the institution of marriage. i get scared that i'm losing my independence in some sense... but then i usually snap out of it and realize just how much fh lights up my life, and how he really completes me.
i think that having these feelings is completely natural!
if you ever want to talk about it, feel free to FM me.

I can't say i get cold feet...But i do freak out every once in a while...The overwhelming feeling that i am going to be a WIFE and all that it implies is a lot! I feel like now i definately have to grow up! There is no going back! But i just can't picture myself a real grown-up just yet..I know that sounds silly. It is just soooo much to comprehend to me, being a wife and one-day mother. Like i said i get really overwhelmed.

So glad you posted this - I thought I was losing it!!
There have been a few times the last few months when I've caught myself thinking 'Is this really what I want? What if....' but like the others said, I've snapped out of it.
I spent so much time waiting to get engaged and was so excited to start planning once it happened that I don't think I actually took the time to get used to the idea that at the end of all this fun and frenzy I will be someone's WIFE.
But when I come to, I do know it's right and I'll never find anyone else like my FH.
I think we're all normal in freaking out every now and then, right?

I feel the exact same way--I'm just not ready to be a 'wife' because it sounds so grown up. Like I'm, supposed to be home making brownies instead of out getting liquored up--though I guess there's no reason I couldn't get liquored up and make brownies at the same time It's just very overwhelming. I'm glad I have another year left of being a kid!

yeah, not cold feet, but more anxieties...can i deal with the negative aspect of his personality for the next 50 years? what if i meet someone who i just find intriguing...i didn't really date a lot of other guys, am i missing out? that kind of stuff. i looooooooove fh but i do get nervous the closer we get, but it's b/c it is forever and forever is a realllly long time...but i know i am with someone who is really made for me and me alone!

Re: Has anyone gotten cold feet before?
in the beginning....before we started the hardcore wedding planning, then I got to busy to worry about it.
I have known DH for 15 years though, so I guess I knew we would be together.

Re: Has anyone gotten cold feet before?
I'm not sure if it's cold feet exactly, but I tend to think what if we end up asking for a divorce afterwards? Over 50% of marriages end up in divorce.. why would we be so special to surpass that percentage? I love FH immensely, but it doesn't mean that we stay together forever... that's another thing... forever? wow, that's a long time... lol
