Has Anyone had their.....

ring appraised and insured? If so where? Fh & I have been meaning to do this but i wouldnt even know where to begin looking... We would be willing to go anwhere from LI to the City...any suggestions would be great!!!

FH had the ring appraised by someone who worked with the jeweler he bought it from. Maybe you can call the store and see if they can recommend anyone. We have not gotten it insured yet, we are waiting until we buy a house and put it on our home insurance.

i got it appraiser by some one my jeweler recommended and macys, have yet to insure tho
a lot of girls use jewelers mutual tho

Thanks Alot Girls.... Ill have to look into Jewelers Mutual...Our Jeweler offered to have it appraised for us but that kind of defeats the purpose...(WE PURCHASED IT FROM HIM!! LOL )

GET YOUR RING INSURED ASAP.

My ring was appraised and insured before my DH even gave it to me.

Take it to a jewler you trust they can apparise it.

Mine is insured with our renters insurance. We had a seperate policy for a while which you can get.

Jewelers Mutual is a good way to insure it too.

Well thats my problem.. we dont know anywhere reputable to get appraised!!! Insuring wouldnt be an issue because were just going to put it on a rider with the house insurance.

we stopped in good old gold in massapequa and they were cheap... but they couldn't do it when we went, and we haven't had time since

FH got my ring appraised through the jeweler when he bought it. I got it insured through Jewelers Mutual.

ETA: The jeweler FH used to buy and appraise my ring was Leder's Jewelers in Rockville Centre. They're really great there.

We put my set on our homeowners but we're taking them off because its over $500 a year and thats way too much!

We insured through Jeweler's Mutual online, and had the appraisal done by Gennaro's in Bellmore. Good luck!

we got my ering from good old gold, and they give you an appraisal. we also had my ering independently appraised at the Jewelry Judge (or something like that) in Garden City on old country rd. we insure through Jeweler's Mutual.

FH got an appraisal form and the GIA form through the jeweler. I put it under my mom's homeowners insurance for now and FH is just gonna pay her.

fh had my ring appraised from the place he bought my setting.....then shortly after he gave it to me we had it insured bc i felt really uncomfortable wearing it without it being insured

FH had it appraised thru the jeweler where he had my ring made...since we dont own a home yet, we took out a policy thru state farm...

I got my ring appraised by the Jewelry APpraiser (Deborah) located in Manhasset. SHe's very reputable and rated in the top 10 best in the US. I love her...she's great.

I would have the jeweler that sold it to you appraise it.. they often appraise higher than it was sold to you for. He prob offered knowing you would need it to get it insured.

mine was appraised at the jeweler that sold it to us, and I needed the appraisal certificate to get the insurance.

I had my jeweler who sold us the ring appraise it.

I have my auto/condo policy through State Farm so I contacted them and got a separate policy for the ring.

I would make it a priority to get it done....because you never know what could happen.
