Has anyone had this problem??

Has anyone had this problem??

Some of my invitations have been returned to me and the addresses are correct. Has anyone had this problem? If so where do I go from here? Should I send another one or just call the people?

TIA!

I did!!! I called the person to explain and tell them a new one was on the way. Instead of waiting for the calligrapher to do another envelope, I just put the invitation with the envelope in a bigger envelope and addressed it myself

does it say the reason they were returned? the only thing i could think of is if the writing is in script and they tried to deliver to the wrong address... sorry, none of mine were returned

That is the weird part...they don't say why they were returned. And, one of the ones that was returned was one of 5 that went to that house and only one came back to us.

that happened to one of my thank you cards! It's got a return to sender label on it but I don't know why. The address is correct and legible....

maybe it got delivered to the wrong address...and whoever got it just dropped it back in & the post office returned it? I get other people's mail all the time...usually neighbors though so i drop it off...

Kelly,

Why dont' you go to the post office and see what they say. If they don't have those big ugly return stamps on them maybe they can resend them.

that happened to me too. one even got sent back saying that there was 'no mail receptacle'. I was like, I know these people have mailbox. I just resent them & most of them got there 2nd time around.

I had the same thing happen with a few of mine. It was so annoying b/c I had to resend them and get more envelopes and then addressed. I also have some that never made it to the house or returned to me

Sometimes the PO will balme it on the font or calligraphy. Do you have extra envelopes?

Its been happenign to me and the envelopes come back all marked up or ripped. I think there must be very bitter postmen!

I did not have that happen ~ At least you received them back ~ I have invitations that went missing... and never returned back ~ then I had a invitation that was going to my friend in NYC and she received it past the RSVP date...

I would put it in a different envelope and resend and maybe call the person to let them know...

I just had the same thing happen with my thank yous...I'm baffled I know the address is correct and the writing was neat on the envelope...well I'll try it again and see what happens.
