Our church requires us to do it before pre-cana. Did anyone else have to do it to? What do you do there?

We did it with our church. We had to answer questions seperately one day and the when we came back we got our results and dicussed it with each other.

I had to do it but we havent sent it in yet to get graded. I guess I will have to do that soon. Add another thing to the list

We completed FOCCUS. You answer questions about topics that normally need to be addressed in marriage (finances, child rearing, communication, jobs, etc... - religion also). You basically answer agree, disagree, or unsure (the unsure answers don't count). It's to acknowledge what you've already discussed/agreed on with your future spouse and what may need to be discussed further (typically in pre-cana). Don't stress, it sounds more complex than it actually is. We actually had fun completing the process.
ETA: Once scored, you go over the survey with someone and discuss your answers.

Hmm sounds pretty easy.. we are not getting married in a church but is there anyone that does this that is gettng married somewhere else.. or is it only pertinent to the marraige in the church ceremony?

If FH and I were to get married in my church we wouldn't even have to do precana. Since we are getting married in FH's church they require precana and FOCCUS. FOCCUS is extra and it depends on the Catholic church.

We did it with our church.
You take a test then meet with a couple from the church and discuss what didn't match on your test.

Michele it is nothing. We did it. Its like 150 questions that you answer on a scartron sheet.
The purpose of it is to give you some insight on things you may not agree on or haven't had any reason to discuss yet. It was actually pretty helpful.
