I had full blown wanna die pneumonia several years ago- just short of being admitted into the hospital and it took me about 3 weeks to feel better and over a year to stop feeling tired and run down. When I'm running myself down too much even now, I can still feel the difference in my lungs. It sucks!

I don't remember what my dr. put me on, all I cared for at that time is to either quickly recover and feel better or die. It was also too long ago.

Not to scare you but I know of someone who died from it because she didn't take care of it. She was smoking and not resting. Please make sure to follow your doc's directions and make sure get better completely.

I had it about 8 years ago, I cant remember the medication tough. I do remember that I was never so miserable and I actually hallucinated from the fever I had the day it finally took me down. Ugh! I hope you feel better really soon. I was out of work for 2 weeks after that I think. Feel better get plenty of rest.

I got pneumonia on the last half of my honeymoon!!!! Of course at first I thought it was only a cold and cough or maybe the flu but by the time I got home i thought i was going to die. I was out of work about another 3 weeks. I don't know what medicine i was on but it did help. They also gave me an inhaler because I couldn't breathe.

I can still feel it in my lungs every now and then and that was 4 months ago.

Make sure to rest and do what the doctors say.

i had this a few years ago and i5t took a good 2-3 weeks to get rid of...

OMG - I ahd this when I was in junior high school. I was coughing so bad from it that I cracked a rib. It took a few weeks to get over it.
