Has anyone heard Heart and Soul play at a wedding? (kinda long)

I heard them at their showcase and we were so impressed. We're 99% ready to book them. Only problem is that the songs they chose to perform at the showcase weren't our style. I know its only half an hour and they have hundreds of songs -- have you heard them do Sinatra/Big band or Billy Joel? Were they great with all types of music? Opinions please! Thanks!

WE booked them for our oct. wedding and just got our play list. They have many songs on the list, from old to new. I was impressed. They will also learn any song that you want played at your wedding (if it's not too difficult). If you like, I will email you their play list. Just email me with your address at

I had been to sooo many showcases before booking a band. It seems that ALL the bands tend to play music that really isn't my style at these things (like Ricky Martin, JLO, etc..).

But most bands can play a range of popular music really well.

The only situation I would say to be weary of is if you wanted mostly big band or salsa or any other genre to be the primary focus of the night. Most of the popular bands have a limited selection for each genre so you are better finding a speciality band in that case.

But if you are like me and want a little bit of everything - you're probably safe.

I have seen them twice at showcases and also viewed a demo tape...Overall, I think that they are an amazing band! I know what you mean about the songs...I guess they try and do a range of songs so that they can appeal to all types of people. I am also more for the older classics instead of trendy music. I think Heart & Soul is so talented that they can play pretty much anything and sound good. I was seriously debating booking them but, we came back to reality and realized that a band is not within our budget...that is the only reason. Whatever your decision...good luck!
