I used a small styrofoam ball and used silk flowers to decorate it, I inserted the ribbon by inserting floral wire into the top. Which is also how I inserted the flowers too

Yes it is a styrofoam ball.. and use fake flowers because they are easier to work with. I think you can also use some hot glue on the tip of the flower to really make sure it stays in place. And for the ribbon part.. you can use a thin straight stick to slide it through the middle with so it 'hangs' and has a handle. Slide the stick all the way through and take it out on the other end. It's just a guide to get the ribbon through it. I've seen it done.. but never personally done it.. althought I might for my 2 FG's.
yes, you can get the styrofoam ball and just add flowers to it.. it shouldnt be that hard and you can try as many times as you want because you can keep popping them in and out until you get it the way you want it
